Assistant Manager, Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme job description:

NTU is a research-intensive institution with more than 30,000 students in various fields. We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Assistant Managers of Stakeholder Engagement.

The position will support the NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur), which is part of the University's Innovation & Entrepreneurship cluster. Our academy provides students with academic rigour and immersive experiences to develop an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, equipping them with necessary skillsets, tools, and networks to thrive in a disruptive global marketplace.

As an Assistant Manager, you will manage and implement operations for the global placement in NTUpreneur's Undergraduate OEP, reporting to the Senior Assistant Director of Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme (OEP).

  • Engage overseas placement representatives to facilitate and develop new startup partners in Europe offering internship opportunities.

  • Implement and manage global placement operations of OEP, especially in Europe, and oversee OEP representatives there.

  • Develop new markets in Europe when necessary, laying groundwork and understanding visa requirements for student internships.

  • Ensure sufficient placement pipelines among startups and corporates in Europe, securing internship opportunities alongside the OEP representative.

  • Oversee engagement efforts with various colleges and schools in NTU to increase awareness of OEP as part of NTUpreneur.

  • Ensure OEP contributes to a holistic entrepreneurship education in conjunction with other undergraduate programmes.

  • Engage OEP alumni and coordinate outreach events, student workshops, and OEP alumni activities to support NTUpreneur's mission.

  • Support in collating reports/surveys and assist in reporting student and financial details to relevant authorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in any discipline.

  • Strong understanding of education approaches to entrepreneurship.

  • Good understanding of the startup ecosystem and overseas startup landscape.

  • Experience working in Institutes of Higher Education (IHEs) or equivalent educational institutions.

  • Experience collaborating with government agencies, foreign trade offices, and embassies.

  • Experience working in or with startups, VCs, accelerators, or incubators.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Good team player.
