Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations department, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of all transactions, ensuring the safeguarding of municipal funds, and providing support for GST quarterly submission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all transactions.
  • Safeguard municipal funds by implementing effective controls and procedures.
  • Process purchase orders, reconcile accounts payable, and prepare journal summaries.
  • Issue invoices and receipts, reconcile weekly deposits, and assist with month-end closing and revenue recognition.
  • Support GST quarterly submission and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial operations or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
