Android Application Architect

Are you a seasoned Android developer looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for designing and developing complex mobile applications?

We are seeking an experienced Android Application Architect to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of scalable and maintainable Android applications using Java/Kotlin and the Android SDK.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development, with at least 8 years of experience in designing and developing complex Android applications. You should also have a deep understanding of the Android SDK, architecture components, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop scalable and maintainable Android applications

• Collaborate with project leads and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications

• Establish best practices and coding standards for Android development

• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that team members follow established coding practices and guidelines

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Android development with a strong emphasis on Java/Kotlin and React Native programming language

• Exhibits strategic thinking and the ability to lead and manage complex projects effectively

• Extensive experience in designing and developing complex Android applications, with a deep understanding of the Android SDK, architecture components, and best practices

• Strong understanding of multithreading concepts, ensuring that the application UI is responsive while leveraging background threads for long running tasks

• Strong understanding on thread synchronisation techniques

• Experience in implementing efficient background processing strategies to minimise battery consumption, network usage

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Git, and continuous integration
