Process Improvement Specialist Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Process Improvement Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving process improvement initiatives across all departments of the terminal, focusing on operational efficiency, safety, compliance, quality, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and execute process improvement initiatives across terminal operations to reduce waste, enhance safety, optimize processes, and elevate quality.
  2. Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, drive improvements through root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  3. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and cross-functional teams to assess systems and drive performance-enhancing improvements.
  4. Develop and apply process improvement methodologies while fostering a culture of operational excellence and employee engagement.
  5. Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities; implement monitoring systems to track progress.
  6. Ensure all initiatives comply with HSEQ standards and contribute to broader business goals through benchmarking, strategic alignment, and change management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must possess at least Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management from a reputable university.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of Oil / Petrochemicals working experience, with at least 2 years in operational excellence related or similar in process improvement roles, preferably in industrial or bulk liquid terminal operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
