Job Description

The role of a Business Development Manager involves managing the full deal cycle, structuring long-term contracts for Raw Materials & Feedstocks, Long term Product Placement Strategy – Vetting & Designing Contractual Terms & Conditions in coordination with Legal. This includes sourcing and buying & selling materials, engaging with vendors, several stake owners and off takers, driving growth, optimising procurement strategies, and executing end-to-end transactions across the value chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans for long term Contracts factoring global Demand & Supply conditions in the Petroleum & Petrochemical space.
  • Identify long term offtakes and build strategic partnerships to ensure stable demand and competitive pricing.
  • SOURCE MATERIALS AND NEGOTIATE TERMS WITH SUPPLIERS AND VENDORS TO OPTIMISE SUPPLY RELIABILITY AND COST.
  • Conduct commercial studies on market trends, pricing benchmarks, and trade flows to inform deal strategy.
  • Develop, structure, and negotiate long-term supply agreements, sales contracts, and JV arrangements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of deals.
  • Maintain strong industry relationships to monitor competitor activity and explore new growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance policies and external trade regulations.
Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Business Development experience in Petroleum & petrochemical products.
  • Strong background in transactional deal-making, vendor/off taker management, and commercial negotiations.
  • Proven experience with structuring long-term contracts and managing both buy and sell sides of transactions.
  • Excellent market knowledge and understanding of regional/international supply and demand dynamics.
  • Highly analytical with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
