Content Creator for Academic Research

This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between formal research and an engaging social media audience. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Gen Z's social media behavior, trends, and preferences, with the ability to craft compelling content that resonates with this demographic.

The Content Creator will be responsible for maintaining a content calendar that ensures a balance between educational content and engaging, trend-driven posts. They will create attention-grabbing and interactive content, including infographics, videos, posts, brochures, presentations, and various long and short-form content to encourage enrollment. The role also involves transforming formal research findings into engaging, social media-friendly content that resonates with Gen Z's interests, tone, and style.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a content strategy that aligns with the academic rigor of the original research.
  • Create captivating titles, summaries, and abstracts that entice readers to explore the full publications.
  • Translate academic jargon and complex data into clear, concise language suitable for a broad audience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, memes, and formats, using them to increase the reach and impact of research-based content.
  • Manage multiple platforms and create tailored content for each, ensuring that messaging aligns with both formal research and the audience's preferences.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance across social media platforms, using insights to refine content strategies and improve engagement with various audiences.

Responsibilities include managing and engaging with our social media community on a daily basis, responding to comments, questions, and interactions related to our research content. We seek a candidate who can spark conversations, engage followers, and share research insights, making sure to use the appropriate tone and style for each platform.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content creation.
  • Proficiency in language, with strong copy vetting and writing, editing, and communication skills to present complex data or findings.
  • Experience in responding to comments, engaging followers, and fostering positive online interactions.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and content creation tools.
