About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Sourcing Specialist to join our team at Danone Asia Pacific Holdings Pte. Ltd. in a crucial role that enables the growth of our Special Nutrition categories in Asia Pacific and China.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Management
    • Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies for Milk Powder Category
    • Secure raw material availability and manage inventory levels in partnership with regional supply chain
    • Source new milk powders manufacturers across regions
  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Monitor suppliers' performance KPIs
    • Manage relationships with suppliers and traders
  • Reporting
    • Prepare category reports to support sourcing activities
    • Ensure accuracy and timely approval of supplier prices
    • Report on coverage (price & volume) according to strategy and MRM policy
    • Provide financial reporting, including supplier pricing validation, productivity reports alignment with SPs, risks & opportunities estimation, etc.
  • Cost Optimization
    • Propose cost optimization and improvement through spend analysis, tender, e-sourcing, and physical hedging
    • Negotiate yearly and spot contracts with suppliers and traders
  • Hedging
    • Coordinate with the global risk management team to implement hedging strategies for dairy ingredients in the region
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Procurement experience and project management experience or in FMCG company
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Food Quality, Food Production, Engineering, or Business
  • Experience in managing a category
