Job Title: Emergency Medical Specialist

The role of the Emergency Medical Specialist involves providing high-quality pre-hospital care that ensures positive patient outcomes. This position requires working with other crew members to deliver medical support, assessing patients' conditions, exercising principles of triage, and providing emergency medical care at the scene or in an ambulance during conveyance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' conditions and provide appropriate emergency care
  • Work collaboratively with other crew members to deliver medical support
  • Exercise principles of triage to prioritize patient care
  • Provide emergency medical care at the scene or in an ambulance during conveyance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Paramedic Level III / Level 3 Paramedicine Certification
  • Higher NITEC in Paramedic & Emergency Care (ITE)
  • UPEC-Accredited Paramedic
  • Diploma with at least 3 years' experience in pre-hospital emergency care OR Diploma in Nursing / Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years' nursing experience
  • Able to work under challenging situations independently and with integrity
  • Good command of written and spoken English. Multilingual ability is an added advantage
  • Physically fit with good stamina, and able to commit to irregular shift-work, including weekends and public holidays
  • Registered Nurses with A&E / ICU experience an advantage
