Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Manager to join our Group Finance team at United Overseas Bank. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable functions, providing guidance to team members, and ensuring compliance with established policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the AP Team Lead in overseeing the running of accounts payable functions and provide guidance to team members.
- Approval of invoices, journal entries, and expense charge-out, ensuring proper authorization and compliance with established policies and guidelines.
- Handle weekly payment runs, performing pre-run checks and releasing payments for GIRO and TT payments.
- Attend to AP common mailbox and users' queries, including Travel & Expense related.
- Ensure lease contracts are taken in within expected timelines and send monthly reports to overseas branches/non-banking subsidiaries.
- Handle monthly and year-end accrual processes, ensuring proper accounting of expenses during closing.
- Review and manage Key Operational Risks and Controls for AP functions.
- AP Data Analytics and Process Improvement - assist in operational review and proposed initiatives to improve AP's efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Business, or Banking & Finance.
- Experience in Accounts Payable functions.
- Able to perform under time pressure to meet payment timelines.
- Good analytical skills, meticulous, and well-organized.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
