Chief Process Improvement Specialist

Key Objectives:

  • Maximize equipment uptime and optimize daily operations.
  • Enhance manufacturing process capability, reduce production costs, and increase predictability.
  • Identify productivity improvement opportunities, recommend design changes, and collaborate with process engineering on feasibility studies and implementation.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Ensuring machine-made parts meet quality, safety, and environmental standards through validation studies and process investigations.
  2. Developing and improving equipment maintenance manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  3. Managing spare parts inventory and contract maintenance.
  4. Analyzing machine and/or process issues related to customer complaints and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  5. Raising capital expenditure (Capex) requests, working on business cases, and negotiating with suppliers as needed.
  6. Leading a team of technicians to support manufacturing activities and providing training.
  7. Maintaining compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures and requirements.
  8. Driving energy and water conservation projects.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in industrial automation, electrical, and controls engineering.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulations for medical/pharmaceutical manufacturing.

This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze complex problems, develop creative solutions, and implement effective changes to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
