Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Deputy Manager. This position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our shelter, ensuring that all aspects of care and support are delivered in accordance with our Model of Care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor Shelter operations, providing feedback, updates, and recommendations to management on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain fidelity to the Model of Care and conduct regular reviews to track changes.
  • Train and align new hires to Boys' Town SOPs, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Track and review Shelter Staff portfolios, training hours, and program expenditures.
  • Provide bi-monthly supervision to Senior Youth Specialists and Youth Specialists, guiding them in their roles and helping them grow professionally.
  • Plan and revise daily and holiday programs to motivate resident participation and engagement.
  • Maintain and update the Residential Handbook, briefing new residents on rules and expectations.
  • Collaborate with RS Units (Programmes, Social Work, Education) to ensure residents' needs are met.
  • Follow up with Education Officers on residents' school matters, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Coordinate with meal vendors to arrange for nutritious meals for residents.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing teams and leading operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A deep understanding of the Model of Care and its application in a shelter setting.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
