Private Banking Team Lead

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our Private Banking team in Singapore, overseeing the Middle Office function and ensuring smooth operational support across trade support, risk & control, and treasury/operations.

As a key leadership role, this position reports directly to headquarters in Taiwan and requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including front, back office, and control functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Middle Office team to ensure high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and control.
  • Act as primary liaison with head office in Taiwan, coordinating and negotiating on operational matters and control requirements.
  • Oversee daily processes including trade booking, settlements, cash & securities reconciliation, and control reporting.
  • Drive process improvements and strengthen risk management framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of professionals to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in middle office / operations, preferably in Private Banking or relevant financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of private banking products and associated operational processes.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is highly advantageous due to frequent interaction with Taiwan head office.
