Research Scholar

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scholar to join our team at the National University of Singapore. The successful applicant will be working on a project that involves generating synthetic population with inter-intra household structure and its activity schedules in activity-based models using Large Language Models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop artificial populations utilizing LLMs and statistical methods
  • Create activity schedules using LLMs and statistical models
  • Publish research papers on project findings
  • Participate in drafting grant proposals
  • Sponsor doctoral/postgraduate research students
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Travel behaviour, Management, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, or related disciplines
  • Strong understanding of discrete choice experiments and model estimation
  • Extensive background in optimization techniques
  • Proficiency in programming econometric models in R, Python, or MATLAB
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in psychology, economics, research skills, and programming languages such as Python. Experience in publishing research papers is also desirable.

A fixed-term contract is available for this position.
