Research Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our research team as a Research Fellow.

The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team working on a project that aims to generate synthetic population with inter-intra household structure and its activity schedules in activity-based models by leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs).

  • Project Overview: The project involves generating synthetic populations using LLMs + Statistical models and activity schedules, as well as writing research papers.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement methodologies for generating synthetic populations and activity schedules.
    • Write high-quality research papers and collaborate with the research team.
    • Pursue independent and collaborative research, including grant proposals and supervising doctoral/postgraduate research students.
  • Requirements:
    • PhD in Travel behaviour, Management, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, or related disciplines.
    • Good understanding of discrete choice experiments and model estimation.
    • Strong background in optimization methods.
    • Proficiency in programming econometric models in R, Python, or MATLAB.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
