Job Description

The Yield Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the high-quality production of graphics, CPU, and APU products. The key objective is to reduce manufacturing costs while meeting committed time-to-market targets with predictable consistency.


Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct in-depth investigations and analyses to identify and eliminate systematic and random yield loss causes.
  2. Perform yield analysis to improve supply and reduce production costs.
  3. Implement corrective actions to fix identified problems.
  4. Ensure optimal product testing for yield, performance, and quality.
  5. Collaborate with Foundry, Foundry technology teams, and Product Engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities and limitations.
  6. Forecast short- and long-term product yields.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be effective in this role, you will need to possess strong data analysis skills, proficiency in coding/scripting, and an ability to design experiments and analyze results to solve problems. A Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, or Statistics, plus 8+ years of related experience, is preferred. Additionally, knowledge of semiconductor device physics or manufacturing is an asset.
