Job Title">Functional Movement Coach

 

The Functional Movement Coach will lead group fitness classes, focusing on alignment, breathwork, and mindful movement. This role requires a strong understanding of functional movement principles, with the ability to educate participants in a safe and inclusive environment.

  • Lead group fitness classes incorporating functional movement principles
  • Educate participants on alignment, breathwork, and mindful movement
  • Create a positive and inclusive class environment that reflects the core values of the organization
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and refine class programming
  • Track participant progress and provide feedback for continuous improvement
  • Foster a welcoming environment for participants to cultivate Positive Social Connection
  • Empower participants to progress toward independence through coaching, education, and confidence-building

 

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, mindfulness, and community-building. The Functional Movement Coach will be part of a team that values intentional movement, community, and education above all else.

 

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a group fitness instructor (e.g., functional training, strength, HIIT, yoga, Pilates)
  • Knowledge of functional movement, alignment principles, and injury prevention
  • Certifications (Singapore-Recognised) such as Sport Singapore-accredited Fitness Instructor Certification (FIC), ACE Certified Personal Trainer (via FIT Asia's accredited program), NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (via NSCA Singapore), or Basic Exercise Science (BES) or equivalent recognised under the National Registry of Exercise Professionals (NREP)
