This is an exciting opportunity for a Commis Chef to join our culinary team in a modern Australian barbecue restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are executed to the highest standard, maintaining high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness in all kitchen areas.

The Commis Chef must prepare ingredients for senior chefs, ensure prep meets expectations, accurately measure dish ingredients and portion sizes, order supplies, minimize food wastage, and upgrade culinary skills through training and/or self-study.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.">
  • No minimum certification needed, but knowledge of kitchen equipment, basic food hygiene practices, and health and safety protocols is essential.">
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills are necessary to work efficiently under pressure, along with being punctual and well-disciplined.">
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.">
