Job Title:

A Construction Reinforcement Specialist is responsible for enhancing the strength and durability of concrete structures by strategically placing steel reinforcement rods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determines the optimal placement and spacing of reinforcing rods based on blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions to ensure a robust structure.
  • Selects and positions rods in forms, securing them with wire and pliers to maintain precision and accuracy.
  • Cuts bars to precise lengths using hacksaws, bar cutters, or acetylene torches to prevent waste and optimize material usage.
  • Bends steel rods with hand tools or rodbending machines to adapt to complex structural requirements.
  • May reinforce concrete with wire mesh to provide additional support and stability.
  • May weld reinforcing bars together using arc-welding equipment to create seamless connections.
