Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Unix Engineer with a strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related technologies to manage and optimize our RHEL environments, OpenShift clusters, JBoss application servers, and Red Hat Satellite infrastructure.

This role requires the ideal candidate to possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain RHEL systems across development, testing, and production environments
  • Design, implement, and support OpenShift container platforms
  • Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers
  • Utilize Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patching, and configuration management
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and operations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux administration, with a focus on RHEL
  • Strong knowledge of OpenShift container platform administration
  • Experience with JBoss application server management
  • Proficiency in using Red Hat Satellite for system management
Required Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of RHEL system administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)
