Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer – Unix

We are seeking a seasoned senior systems engineer to join our team. This position requires an individual with extensive experience in Unix administration, focusing on AIX and Red Hat Linux.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify IT-related risks and develop effective controls for mitigation.
  • Monitor, track, and manage risk mitigations and exceptions to ensure adequate monitoring is incorporated into solutions.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using Ansible and shell scripting languages to streamline system management tasks.
  • Familiarize yourself with configuration management and automation tools, such as IBM WAS, JBoss, and MQ.
  • Utilize system monitoring tools and techniques to maintain efficient system performance.
Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in Unix administration, particularly AIX and Red Hat Linux.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, including Ansible and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms, such as IBM WAS, JBoss, and MQ.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management and automation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or IBM Certified System Administrator - AIX, are highly desirable.
