Job Title: Senior Accountant - Strategic Financial Planner

Overview:

The role of a senior accountant is pivotal in driving financial accuracy, integrity and strategic decision-making within an organization. This position requires the candidate to possess expertise in producing timely and accurate financial reports, developing comprehensive financial plans, reviewing and interpreting financial data, managing general ledger accounts, and maintaining the highest standards of financial record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Produce regular financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing insightful analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Financial Planning: Develop comprehensive financial plans including budgets and forecasts that align with the organization's overall strategy and objectives.
  • Financial Analysis: Review and interpret financial data to assess the company's current and future financial health, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Account Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy and ensure seamless integration with other financial systems.
  • Financial Governance: Uphold the highest standards of financial record-keeping, maintaining the integrity and precision of all financial records.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a leadership or senior capacity.
  • Expertise in financial planning, analysis and budgeting, with a strong understanding of financial markets and trends.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
