Senior Physiotherapist
About the Role
The role of a Senior Physiotherapist is to provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients in various settings. This includes community hospitals, nursing homes, and senior care centres.
You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their functional ability, mobility, and ambulation. You will identify potential impairments, movement limitations, and functional deficits, and plan appropriate treatment goals and timeframes.
You will implement treatment plans, re-evaluate, and modify as required. You will also provide manual therapy techniques, physical, electro-therapeutic, and mechanical agents, such as ultrasound, mechanical traction, electrical stimulation, short wave diathermy, hydrocollators, wax therapy, cryotherapy, biofeedback, and compression pump therapy.
You will provide functional training, including prescription of specific therapeutic exercises through the use of exercise equipment, muscle re-education, gait training, balance training, and postural training. You will also provision of walking aids and assistive devices as indicated.
You will work with patients, caregivers, medical practitioners, and other allied healthcare workers to provide patient education and professional communication.
Professional Requirements- Degree in Physiotherapy (recognized by AHPC)
- Post-graduate qualification or certification in treatment techniques is an advantage
- Registered with the Singapore AHPC with valid practicing certificate
- Highly encouraged to be a member of the Singapore Physiotherapy Association
