Internal Medicine Veterinary Intern

Join our dynamic team as a veterinary intern in internal medicine. As part of our 1-year long internship program, you will work closely with our experienced specialists to develop your skills and knowledge in the field.

  • Day-to-day management of internal medicine cases, including diagnosing and treating various conditions such as digestive, pancreatic, hepatic, urinary, renal, endocrine, and infectious diseases.
  • Consultations with day emergency patients, performing diagnostics, referring cases back to respective referral clinics when appropriate, and creating treatment plans for emergency patients.
  • Attending daily inpatient rounds, updating patient information in medical records, ordering diagnostic tests, reviewing and interpreting results, prescribing pharmaceuticals, and communicating with patient owners regarding their care and well-being.
  • Working collaboratively with the emergency and specialty teams, assisting with transfers to the appropriate specialists, and providing updates and discharge summaries to referring veterinarians.
