Compensation Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Accounting Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of compensation to distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Closing Distribution Channel payments for all compensation due, posted, and reconciled
  • Performing general ledger closing, including monthly and yearly provisions, amortizations, and schedules according to accounting guidelines
  • Maintaining policy system distribution compensation accounting rules, such as Life Asia, Group Asia, Datahub, and auxiliary systems
  • Posting journals for manual processing and payment
  • Reconciling and auditing Distribution Compensation schedules
  • Serving as primary contact for audit (internal/external/regulatory/SOX) of Distribution Compensation
  • Maintaining Distribution Compensation process flow and SOP documentation
  • Maintaining Non-Budgeted Provision (NBP) and monitoring
  • Administering deferred/long-term incentive schemes
  • Supporting the Finance Compensation Operations team with queries related to compensation
  • Oversight of end-to-end processing for the compensation team
  • Maintaining risk registers and representing compensation teams on risk matters
  • Settling invoices for non-agency channels in Coupa
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for compensation-related enhancements/initiatives
  • Filing Distribution Compensation with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)
  • Administering self-billing for GST-registered agents
  • Daily handling of channel/agent queries related to compensation
  • Supporting company-wide initiatives/projects related to Distribution Compensation

Requirements:

  • Accounting Diploma/Degree
  • 6 months contract
  • Experience in payments is desirable
