Job Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is seeking a Research Assistant to support the establishment of a Core Support Faculty.

The successful applicant will work closely with senior members of the Department, including Visiting Professors, to establish a strong team working environment with productivity, collaboration and service as key operating parameters.

The applicant will be responsible for overseeing the general management of delegated projects, providing administrative and secretarial support, conducting literature searches and analysing data.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, nursing or equivalent, and experience in clinical research coordination.

Key deliverables for the role will include the rapid generation of high-impact publications, the rapid receipt of competitive grant funding, and the provision of technical training to the Department.

The successful applicant will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating the ability to multitask effectively while supporting multiple projects across the department.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, nursing or equivalent
  • Experience in clinical research coordination
  • Good understanding of GCP and familiarity with research-based principles
  • Knowledge of computer applications, e.g. SPSS, MS office, PowerPoint

Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
