Job Description

Theatre operations coordinators are integral members of our production team, responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of live performances and events. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the recruitment and selection of performing artistes by researching, identifying, and recommending candidates.
  2. Coordinate rehearsals and performance schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  3. Monitor and report on the work progress of all performing artistes, providing constructive feedback and guidance as needed.
  4. Manage backstage and onstage areas during performances, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  5. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for business growth, informing strategies to improve company prospects.
  6. Develop and implement creative solutions to meet project deadlines, while maintaining high-quality standards.
  7. Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences, delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations.
  8. Promote company services through various social media platforms, engaging with online communities and stakeholders.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing and managing time effectively.
  • Technical Production: Knowledge of theatre equipment, lighting, sound, and special effects.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring high-quality standards in all aspects of production, from set design to performer preparation.
  • Wardrobe Management: Coordinating costumes, props, and other visual elements to enhance the overall performance.
  • Business Continuity: Developing strategies to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity during challenging situations.
  • Theatre Operations: Proficiency in theatre operations, including stage management, rigging, and technical direction.
