Product Manager

The Product Manager is responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion for Tech Data Advanced Solutions (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. through effective sales enablement, marketing programs, and vendor relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business plans to achieve sales and profit targets for assigned product groups.
  • Design and execute sales enablement programs to support Tech Data's extended sales team and partner community.
  • Ensure technical sales support teams are adequately trained to support relevant product groups.
  • Develop and implement marketing programs to support product group objectives.
  • Collaborate with vendors and business partners to create joint initiatives and drive business outcomes.
  • Manage inventory turns, fulfillment, and obsolescence to optimize business performance.
  • Implement business plans that achieve agreed-upon revenue targets and generate planned profit outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams within Tech Data to deliver product plans.
  • Maintain high-level executive relationships with vendor partners, ensuring proactive engagement and continuous monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain operational-level vendor relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date on sales processes, proposals, pipeline management, and partner engagement to recommend remedial actions when necessary.
  • Ensure high levels of vendor and partner satisfaction.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for team members.
  • Accurately maintain a product group pipeline.
  • Measure and maintain critical product group performance data to ensure Tech Data meets vendor commitments and leverages commercial opportunities.
  • Provide business forecasting and planning for product groups with vendors.
  • Offer various reports for commercial decision-making.
  • Advocate and lead for relevant product groups within Tech Data and the vendor community.
  • Provide direction, development, and support to ensure the sales team performs optimally for the relevant product group.
  • Address unsatisfactory performance and behavior within the team.
  • Set an example of leadership through behaviors for the wider organization.
  • Contribute to the commercial well-being and longevity of the business as a member of the leadership team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in IT distribution.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Appropriate vendor product sales certifications.
  • Strong leadership attributes.
  • Self-starter.
  • Results-focused.
  • Sound business acumen.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction.
  • Capacity to lead vertical teams.
  • Influence business outcomes without direct control.
