Therapy Assistant Job Description

As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering high-quality care to clients. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out the therapy care plan as assigned by the respective therapists.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out physiotherapy and occupational therapy care plans as assigned by the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist
  • Attending to clients' needs and assisting in lifting and transferring clients where necessary
  • Reporting any abnormalities present in clients
  • Recording and documenting the therapy sessions performed daily
  • Proper handling of rehabilitative equipment
  • Maintenance of rehabilitative equipment and reporting any faults to the Operation Executive and Physiotherapist
  • Ensuring a safe environment for clients to perform therapies
  • Encouraging clients to participate in MDRC activities/programs
  • Participating in internal or external events for the centre as required
  • Following clients on transport as and when required
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum Secondary school education/WSQ certificate in Therapy services/NITEC in Therapy Services or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience
  • BCLS+AED certified
