Occupational Therapist Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation team, providing exceptional occupational therapy treatment to clients with diverse conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping patients regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored care plans and treatment objectives for each client, prioritizing their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to Inpatient Wards, focusing on clients with Dementia, Psychiatric illness, Musculoskeletal, and Neurological conditions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to review clients' progress and provide comprehensive support.
  • Supervise Therapy Assistants and volunteers, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to support clients effectively.
  • Contribute to training programs for Therapy Assistants and caregivers, as well as educational initiatives for the team, emphasizing the importance of occupational therapy best practices.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Full registration with the Allied Health Professional Council
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in providing occupational therapy services
  • Ability to work effectively with elderly patients, particularly those with neurological or musculoskeletal problems or mental health conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
