As a strategic business consultant, you will play a key role in helping our government client achieve their digital transformation goals.

About the Role

The Business Analyst will be responsible for partnering with the Agency's business teams to elicit citizen/business needs through human-centric, visual methods such as service journeys and develop the appropriate business case. This involves evaluating and recommending suitable technology while aligning with GovTech's technology directions.

The successful candidate will identify and adopt the appropriate development methodology (e.g. Agile or Waterfall) in an Outsourced, Co-Sourced or In-house development environment. They will also ensure system or product readiness for smooth deployment, adoption and operations.

In addition, the Business Analyst will analyse impact of requested changes and propose improvements to continuously address changing business needs. They will work with support team to understand and address technical problems (Operations & Maintenance phase).

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering or related subject area with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior working experience in IT business analysis, application solutioning design and testing.
  • Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to pitch ideas and influence.
  • A driven and motivated personality with an inquisitive mind.
  • Ability to learn and apply.
