Leading Bioethics Researcher and Educator

We are seeking a distinguished academic to join our institution as a researcher and educator in the field of bioethics.
The Centre for Biomedical Ethics is a world-leading institution dedicated to developing understanding, capacity for good judgement, and sound ethical practice in the context of healthcare provision, biomedical science and health-related policy development.
As a faculty member at our centre, you will contribute to undergraduate teaching on the Health ethics, Law and Professionalism (HeLP) programme and postgraduate teaching of bioethics, including via course development and module coordination.
- You will undertake and publish research of international interest and standing in medical ethics and bioethics.
- You will contribute to undergraduate teaching on the Health ethics, Law and Professionalism (HeLP) programme.
- You will contribute to postgraduate teaching of bioethics, including via course development and module coordination.
- You will provide academic support to other CBmE activities.
- You will serve on relevant university committees.
- A PhD in a field relevant to bioethics.
- A thorough grounding in ethics, including the development of normative arguments.
- A knowledge of and ability to apply a range of methodologies relevant to critical reasoning in practical ethics.
- Demonstrated university-level teaching experience in ethics or a closely related field.
- A strong track record of high-quality research and publications in bioethics and/or related fields.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong organisation and management skills.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen and support our research portfolio, enhance undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and participate in the academic life of our institution.
