Job Title: Freight Forwarding Specialist

A leading provider of global logistics services is seeking a highly motivated individual to spearhead the establishment and growth of their freight forwarding desk for general cargo.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to build on existing relationships with customers, transporters/brokers, carriers, and port operators while developing new business opportunities locally and internationally.

The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

This position plays a crucial role in expanding our market share by securing new clients, managing existing relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Hunting for new clearing and forwarding related business focusing on import and export activities locally.
  • Building new client bases through networking and relationship-building efforts.
  • Developing sales strategies aligned with group commodity market segments.
  • Leveraging personal networks and establishing relationships with various partners globally.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A degree from a recognized University in a field related to logistics (advantageous).
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of proven sales experience, with a track record of bringing in new sales.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks to achieve assigned sales targets.
  • An entrepreneurial flair and resourcefulness to drive commercial processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and travel regularly when required.
