Dbs Bank Ltd. is seeking an experienced AVP, SNOC Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer to join our team in Group Infrastructure and Cloud, Group Technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on standardizing Secure Network Operations Centre (SNOC) monitoring and efficient use of resources for proactive application/infrastructure monitoring.
Key Responsibilities- Standardization and Efficiency: Provide strategic directions for standardizing SNOC monitoring and optimizing resource utilization for proactive application/infrastructure monitoring.
- Improvement Identification: Identify areas for improvement in SNOC communications with Incident/Problem management, Application/Infrastructure SMEs, etc.
- Metric Creation and Review: Oversee the creation and availability of SNOC monitoring metrics and alerts' reports for management reporting and review completeness and correctness of SNOC monitoring metrics and alerts.
- Effectiveness and Efficiency Tracking: Establish measurements and track improvement for SNOC monitoring effectiveness and efficiency.
- Escalation Point: Act as an escalation focal point for all improvement activities involving SNOC.
- Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of service providers to ensure delivery of quality infrastructure services by engaged vendors to the Bank.
This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work with little or no supervision, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum degree in Computer Science, at least 5 years of IT experience in a bank, and experience with scripting languages like Shell, Python, and Perl. Additionally, they should be familiar with automation tools and web reports using AJAX, HTML, and JS Framework.
The successful candidate will be able to work closely with various line-of-business technologies from junior to management level, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be proactive with a positive attitude. They should also be eager to learn and hands-on new technology.
Requirements- Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, 5 years of IT experience in a bank, scripting languages like Shell, Python, and Perl.
- Preferred Skills: Automation tools, web reports using AJAX, HTML, and JS Framework, experience with monitoring tools like IBM ITM Tivoli, Netcool, Zabbix, and Elastic Search.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, proactive, positive attitude, eagerness to learn.
