The position of Senior Specialist at Lennox involves designing, fabricating, and evaluating complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems. The engineer in this role may also provide work leadership for junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing advanced refrigeration and HVAC systems for data centers.
  • Providing technical guidance on the application of CO transcritical systems for sustainable cooling solutions.
  • Performing thermal load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layout planning.
  • Collaborating with engineers to ensure integrated and optimized cooling solutions.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, energy modeling, and performance simulations.
  • Overseeing the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in refrigeration or HVAC system design is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of data center thermal management, including CRAC/CRAH units, liquid cooling, and airflow management.
  • Hands-on experience with CO transcritical refrigeration systems and natural refrigerants.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
