About the Role:

  • We seek a skilled professional with expertise in market trend analysis, strategy development, and logistics management.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in global freight forwarding companies and a strong understanding of logistics market dynamics.
  • This role requires excellent analytical, research, and data reporting capabilities, as well as proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth research on global logistics industry trends, forecasts, and risk factors with a focus on Ocean Shipping and Airfreight sectors.
  2. Analyze and interpret market data to produce regular reports highlighting logistics trends and developments.
  3. Delve into market forecasting and competitive analysis to inform strategy formulation and business planning.
  4. Promote knowledge sharing by conducting training sessions and quarterly seminars for internal teams.
  5. Collaborate with Commercial and Procurement/Pricing teams to present the latest market conditions in Ocean and Airfreight logistics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, International Trade, Maritime Studies, Operations Research, Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in market intelligence, strategic analysis, or business planning within the global logistics, shipping, or airfreight industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics market dynamics with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Skillful in interpreting logistics indexes and managing data for market insights and analysis.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.
  • Proactive and analytical mindset capable of identifying issues and driving resolutions independently.
  • Goal-oriented thinker with the ability to conceptualize and deliver on strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrates high integrity, ownership, and accountability in professional responsibilities.
  • Possesses a global mindset and able to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
