Job Overview

The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. Prior experience in a finance, trading, or operations role is also desirable, especially if it involves commodities exposure. A good understanding of Excel is essential, while familiarity with data tools like SQL or Python is a plus.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Trade Support
  • Deal entry and validation of derivative and physical trades into the CTRM system.
  • Uploading and maintenance of daily settlement and forward price curves.
  • Help reconcile trading data between front-office systems and internal reports.
  • Work closely with trading, operations, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
Position and P&L Monitoring
  • Daily generations of trading positions, pricing and profit & loss reports.
  • Help identify and escalate any inconsistencies or issues in reported data.
Risk Reporting
  • Contribute to the preparation of daily and weekly risk reports.
  • Learn to monitor basic market and credit risk indicators under guidance.
System and Process Support
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the CTRM system.
  • Help with basic reporting tasks using Excel and other software tools.
  • Participate in system testing and documentation efforts.
Operational Efficiency
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies.
  • Help document procedures and contribute ideas for better workflows.
Compliance and Controls
  • Learn about internal risk policies and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in preparing data for regulatory and internal reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Internship or up to 1–2 years of experience in a finance, trading, or operations role (commodities exposure is a plus).
  • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with data tools like SQL or Python is a bonus.
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to CTRM systems is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of trading commodity markets and derivatives.
  • Interest in risk management and operational processes.
