Job Opportunity: Senior Engineer

This position has a strong focus on campus redevelopment, for which planning is underway. As a senior engineer, you will provide support to the office of campus planning by working closely with the design team, medical planner, and users in preparing technical specifications for tenders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support the planning and procurement of medical and non-medical equipment, as well as furniture (where required)
  • Plan and lead user workgroups by organising regular meeting sessions, setting goals and targets, facilitating useful discussions, guiding user departments, and reviewing performance indicators and work plans
  • Ensure that projects remain within budget, maintaining financial control and oversight
  • Work closely with user departments and stakeholders in the preparation of equipment and furniture specifications for tenders
  • Provide recommendations to users based on technical compliance of equipment and furniture in tender submissions
  • Support tender committees in evaluating equipment and services for procurement
  • Stay up-to-date with healthcare planning topics and issues to lead hospital development in the desired direction
  • Support the rest of the campus planning team where necessary
  • Liaise and manage external contractors on service and tender commitment issues
  • Provide technical guidance to end-users and senior management on equipment-related issues
