Job Description

The role of an Engineering Specialist involves collaborating with engineering departments to develop, implement, and deploy approved operational processes and best practices throughout the organization.

This position will assist the I.E. departments in special reengineering or new projects as necessary. The specialist will take a lead role in planning and execution of large project implementations or training initiatives.

  • Work closely with Operation and other stakeholders on daily operation issues, troubleshooting and prevention
Responsibilities
  • Be the main point of contact for WMS related activities
  • Maintain data within operating plans to highlight conditions and areas for potential change
  • Develop action plans and obtain management corrective action commitments
  • Implementation/Migration
  • Participate in design workshop, gather and analyze data necessary to develop work measurement
  • Verifies the proper application of work measurement to ensure accuracy
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent fields
  • Displays understanding of operational barriers and failures, and identifies/improves designs, methods, processes, and flows through collaboration
  • Technical minded with ability to resolve issues related to information systems reporting, report generation and storage, customized reports, and data integration
  • Ability to translate business and operational terms to technical solutions
  • Prior Industrial Engineering experience is preferred
  • Prior experience using advanced Access and Excel functionalities, (Pivot tables, V-look ups, database creation/maintenance, etc.) is preferred
