RF Engineer Job Description

As a Radio Frequency Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design and development of RF circuits and systems for communication applications. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and simulate RF circuits and systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop RF subsystems, including filters, antennas, amplifiers, mixers, and transceivers.
  • Conduct laboratory testing using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
  • Optimize system performance by evaluating signal integrity, interference, and power efficiency.

You will also be responsible for supporting regulatory compliance efforts and documenting necessary certifications. Additionally, you will provide technical support during system integration and field-testing phases.

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in RF engineering is required.
  • Experience with satellite or radar communication systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with software-defined radio (SDR) platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware for RF control is essential.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of RF theory, electromagnetic wave propagation, modulation techniques, and wireless protocols. Proficiency with simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, ADS, and MATLAB is also required. Experience with PCB layout for RF circuits and familiarity with design tools like Altium or Cadence are advantageous.
