Job Title:
Bakery Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our bakery, you will be responsible for preparing daily mis-en-place and food production, executing standard recipes, techniques, and presentation for consistency, maintaining high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety, managing food storage in accordance with hygiene policies, performing stock taking, control, and ordering, handling opening and closing duties, ensuring hygiene standards meet SFA requirements, and performing any other tasks assigned by superiors.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare daily ingredients and mise en place for food production.
2. Execute and maintain standard recipes, techniques, and presentation for consistency.
3. Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen and dining areas.
4. Manage food storage in accordance with hygiene policies and ensure that all food is stored safely and correctly.
5. Perform stock taking, control, and ordering to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies for food production.
6. Handle opening and closing duties, including setting up and cleaning down the kitchen and dining areas.
7. Ensure hygiene standards meet SFA requirements.
8. Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- A passion for cooking and baking
- Curiosity and drive to learn new skills
- Proactive in giving and receiving feedback
- Optimistic, warm, and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in English
- Ability to work on weekends and public holidays
- O Level, Diploma, or Nitec/Professional certificate
- At least 1 year of experience preferred, but training is provided.
