Job Title: Construction Project Planning Specialist

This role is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of construction projects from tender stage to project completion.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in construction site work and planning, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • To coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and effective delivery of tenders.
  • Able to work closely with construction department staff to plan and execute tenders, including EHS matters.
  • To assist in preparing and attending subcontractor/supplier workshops related to tenders.
  • To ensure that proposed plans align with drawings/specifications/authority's requirements.
  • Able to develop a suitable Microsoft Project schedule (or equivalent) for tender projects, showcasing all necessary work sequences from commencement to TOP.
  • To study and propose feasible Temporary Site Facilities.
  • To study and propose suitable construction sequences for structural and architectural works, taking into account authority's requirements and contract specifications.
  • To assist/provide technical support for tender teams on queries from consultants.
  • To provide estimated manpower and resources required for tender projects.
  • To work with project teams on proposals during tender stages once the tender is successful.
  • To review tender documents/specifications/drawings and highlight discrepancies or value engineering opportunities.
  • To participate in safety site inspections to ensure site safety, workmanship, etc.
  • Proficient in using software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD.
  • To review construction previews submitted by project teams and coordinate with them to obtain Japan HQ approval.
  • To assist office management in improving site EHS.

Requirements:

Minimum 12 years of experience in construction site work and planning work.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in construction site work and planning.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD.
