Project Planning Specialist

The role of a Project Planning Specialist is to develop and manage detailed project schedules and plans for building works. This includes planning and sequencing construction operations according to master and detailed work programs, considering project costing.
- Key responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution of project plans.
- Progress analysis and critical activities identification are crucial in this role, ensuring that the Project Manager is informed and able to make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Regular site visits are essential to assess project status and address any issues or delays.
Additionally, this position involves preparing and presenting progress reports to senior management and clients, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
In order to excel in this role, a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods is required, along with excellent organizational and time management skills.
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry, specifically building works, is highly desirable.
- A strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) is necessary for success in this position.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
This role requires the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, making it an ideal fit for individuals with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
