About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team. As a Visionary Eyewear Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of store operations, including sales, profitability, staff management, customer service, and merchandising. You will be at the forefront of style and functionality, helping individuals find the perfect pair of glasses that not only enhance their vision but also make a bold fashion statement.

Responsibilities
  1. Store Operations: Manage all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
  2. Sales and Profitability: Achieve sales targets, monitor performance, and implement strategies to achieve sales goals. Analyze sales data and identify opportunities for growth. Monitor expenses and propose cost control measures to maximize profitability.
  3. Staff Management: Implement training programs, supervise store staff, set performance expectations, and provide ongoing feedback. Schedule shifts and manage payroll. Motivate and engage employees to ensure a high level of customer service.
  4. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met by the store staff. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues that may arise. Create a positive shopping experience for customers and build customer loyalty.
  5. Merchandising and Visual Presentation: Oversee product placement and visual displays to optimize sales and create an appealing shopping environment as per company policy.
  6. Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to implement marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide feedback to the Cluster Manager.
  7. Safety and Security: Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures. Implement loss prevention measures to minimize theft and protect company assets.
  8. Store Policies and Procedures: Enforce company policies and procedures. Keep up to date with industry trends and implement best practices to enhance store operations.
  9. Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors. Collaborate with other departments, such as human resources, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum GCE O'level or equivalent required; a degree in business or retail management is preferred. Previous experience in retail, such as assistant manager or supervisor roles, is highly desirable.
  • Retail Knowledge and Skills: Minimum 5 years in retail industry with minimum 3 years in the Store Manager role. Understanding of retail operations, sales techniques, merchandising, and customer service principles. Familiarity with inventory management and retail software.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team, provide clear communication and feedback, delegate tasks, and solve problems.
  • Sales and Business Acumen: Proven track record in achieving sales targets, analyzing sales data, and implementing strategies for growth. Financial management skills and knowledge of budgeting and profitability analysis.
  • Customer Service Focus: Commitment to exceptional customer service, handling inquiries and complaints, and building customer relationships.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage store operations, inventory, and staff scheduling. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities: Ability to identify and resolve issues, think critically, and make sound decisions.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Adaptability to changing circumstances and multitasking effectively.
