Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer to lead the migration of IT systems from on-premise to a secure cloud environment using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing VMware VCF components like vSAN, NSX, vCenter, and SDDC Manager. Additionally, they will deploy and maintain VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications.

The candidate will use Aria Automation and GitLab CI to automate server setup and app deployment. They will also manage and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers, including Tomcat, Apache, and IIS web servers.

The Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer will monitor system health, performance, and resource usage across cloud and container platforms. They will apply security hardening and manage security testing (e.g., DAST, SAST, penetration testing).

The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues. They will work closely with HQ technical teams and government cybersecurity units for updates and incident support.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certifications like CISSP, VCP, CKA, or CKAD are preferred.
  • Experience in IT security testing and system hardening in secure environments.
  • Background in managing infrastructure in classified or restricted data centers.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
  • Familiar with CI/CD tools and supporting pipelines in live/production environments.
