Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and efficient accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices and suppliers.
Maintenance of Invoice Register and Process of invoices:
- Ensure that all invoices are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner
- Verify the accuracy of invoice amounts and terms
Process supplier batch payment / ad-hoc supplier payment:
- Prepare and process batch payments for multiple suppliers
- Ensure that all ad-hoc payments are accurately recorded and processed
Perform supplier balance reconciliation:
- Reconcile supplier balances on a regular basis
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors
Prepare of accrual listing for month end closing:
- Accurately prepare accrual listings for month-end closing
- Verify the accuracy of accrual amounts
Perform AP month end closing:
- Closing out the accounts payable process for each month
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of AP records
Check import/export permits, including prepare monthly MES declaration summary report:
- Verify compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and submit required reports
Assist in annual audit (related to own scope):
- Provide support and assistance during the annual audit process
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation
Filing of documents on timely basis:
- Ensure that all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible
- Maintain organized filing systems
Diploma/ Degree in accounting/LCCI/ or equivalent qualification:
- A relevant diploma or degree in accounting or equivalent qualification is required
Min 3 years of accounting experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience is required

Experience working in Shipyard/Oil & Gas/Marine/Construction/Manufacturing/ Engineering industry or related field:
- A background in the Shipyard/Oil & Gas/Marine/Construction/Manufacturing/ Engineering industry or related field is highly desirable
Experience handling high volume of invoices:
- A proven track record of handling large volumes of invoices efficiently and effectively
Can start work immediately or at a short notice:
- Able to commence work immediately or at short notice
