Language Instructor for Mandarin Chinese

This role involves instructing Mandarin Chinese to individuals aged 6 and above, encompassing both children and adults. Ideal for individuals who are passionate about sharing the Chinese language and culture with learners from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and interactive Chinese language lessons, including Business Chinese. Prepare lessons tailored to individual or group needs. Conduct classes in-person and/or online (1-on-1 and/or small group setting). Maintain accurate student attendance records. Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvement. Willingness to provide additional hours to make up for missed lessons. Create a safe and vibrant learning environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree or related field. Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in teaching Chinese to non-Chinese speakers is required. Relevant academic background or experience teaching Chinese as an International Language is preferred. Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, with strong English command. Accurate pronunciation in spoken Mandarin for effective teaching. Tech-savviness with experience using digital platforms like Zoom. Must be patient, passionate, and responsible. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to commit at least 6 months to 1 year.
Benefits:
Potential salary range: $25 to $45 per hour, based on experience and class enrollment. Flexible working hours: weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
