Advanced Robotics Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team working on advanced autonomous cleaning robots.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the robotics system in developing and deployment phases.
  • Learn and master deployment tools and methodologies specific to robotic systems.
  • Conduct on-site deployments, including initial setup, configuration, and calibration of robot systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of robotic systems, including mobile platforms, manipulators, and end effectors. They should also be proficient with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces, as well as ROS (Robot Operating System) framework and basic commands.

Responsibilities:
  1. Test and verify robot drive system functionality (speed, acceleration, stability)
  2. Verify navigation and obstacle avoidance capabilities
  3. Calibrate and validate sensors (LiDAR, cameras, proximity sensors)
  4. Test end effector functionality (brushes, spray nozzle, suction pump)
  5. Test water and detergent flow system
  6. Integrate and test all components to ensure harmonious operation
  7. Configure and troubleshoot software systems running on Linux environments
  8. Manage ROS packages, launch files, and parameters for robot operation
  9. Collect data for specific use cases and environments
  10. Perform data labelling tasks to support machine learning and AI improvements
  11. Organize and maintain datasets for ongoing robot learning and optimization
  12. Document and resolve technical issues during implementation and operation phases
  13. Create and maintain detailed logs of robot performance metrics and failure modes
  14. Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and fix hardware and software issues
  15. Train maintenance personnel and on-site operators on proper robot operation and basic troubleshooting
  16. Monitor robot performance in real-world environments and collect feedback for improvements
  17. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide regular updates
  18. Create and deliver client-facing documentation and training materials
  19. Collect and relay client feedback to the product development team
