Job Title:
Occupational Therapist - Holistic Care Specialist

About the Role:
The Occupational Therapist will work closely with residents, caregivers and healthcare professionals to provide holistic care that addresses physical, emotional and social needs. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess and identify individual needs of residents, developing tailored therapy programs to promote independence and quality of life.
2. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless delivery of occupational therapy services, including supervision and education.
3. Implement and continuously improve standards of care and service, ensuring alignment with Ministry of Health and organizational requirements.
4. Evaluate and document residents' progress at regular intervals, monitoring training programs and reviewing effectiveness.
5. Refer residents to specialists for consultation and intervention as needed.
6. Train and supervise caregivers/volunteers in maintaining occupational therapy programs, promoting consistent delivery of care.
7. Plan and schedule therapy care staff for relevant training, enabling them to excel in their duties.

Requirements:
Bachelor degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy or related field
Full registration with APHC ( Allied Professional Health Council )

Working Conditions:
Typical working hours are 8:30 am to 5:45 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 45-minute lunch break. The Salvation Army Peacehaven Nursing Home is located at 9 Upper Changi Road North Singapore.
