Job Title: Youth Ministry Pastor

This role provides pastoral leadership and care to the Youth Ministry, working closely with the Youth Committee and Church School Exco.

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, directing, and growing the Youth Ministry through various activities, programs, and events.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan the Central Teaching calendar in consultation with the pastor overseeing the Youth Ministry.
  • Evaluate communication processes and ensure smooth running of Youth ministry activities and events.
  • Recruit, engage, provide care, and train/equip volunteers and parents.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions of youth into and out of Youth Ministry.
  • Provide basic counseling to youth as well as volunteers, and make referrals to the church pastors and Care Center when necessary.
  • Support the Church School - Children Ministry and other church activities upon approval by the pastor overseeing the Youth Ministry.
  • Participate and attend church leadership and staff meetings and ministry-related meetings.
  • Represent the pastors' office in the absence of the pastor, especially during Youth Ministry committee and Church School Exco meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualifications and/or experience in a similar/related field.
  • Qualifications in theological studies preferred.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A team player who enjoys and thrives when working as a part of a collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of contemporary youth culture and the biblical worldview.
