Secure Software Development Engineer

Our organization seeks an experienced Secure Software Development Engineer to provide advisory support to our development and project teams on security aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in secure coding practices, experience with modern software development methodologies, and a passion for ensuring the security and integrity of our applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating new technologies and processes to improve Application Security outcomes, guiding application teams on Secure SDLC activities, and contributing improvements to existing tools and processes. They will also provide advisory support to development and project teams on Application Security, contribute to the improvement of our existing application security tools and processes, and advise on application security tools and processes.

The requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline, proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java and Python, knowledge and experience in modern software development practices (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps), and hands-on experience with DevSecOps processes and tooling. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, OWASP ASVS/MASVS, penetration testing experience, and experience in Code Reviews and/or application security assessments.
